I recently stayed at Ballymaloe House for my 25th wedding anniversary and it was absolutely wonderful. The attention to detail is impressive, with on-site production of ingredients like vegetables, fruits, herbs, eggs. The staff were incredibly accommodating and the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. The surroundings are serene and the staff is friendly and efficient. We loved the adult emphasis in the evening dining room and the fact that it was cell phone-free. I can't wait to go back for a longer stay!

    I recommend this hotel.

the atmosphere was so welcoming and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. After a day at the cookery school, it was a delight to relax by the fire. the food and service in the restaurant were excellent, with a fabulous breakfast and a delicious 5-course dinner. the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff always had a smile. I even had the chance to enjoy some fresh herb tea on the veranda, made with mint from the garden. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    It was all superb! 😊.

Had a fantastic dinner at Ballymaloe House. The meal was top-notch with delicious flavors and a great variety of options to choose from. The service was excellent, with the staff being attentive and genuinely interested in their customers. The cozy ambiance of the drawing room with the open fire added to the overall experience. We even got to enjoy some delightful entertainment with Tory leading a sing song. Highly recommend a visit for a memorable dining experience.

The room had a conservatory for dogs. The bathroom was stunning. The breakfast buffet was delicious, especially the fry-up. The waitress and reception staff were friendly. The property had a running trail with a map at the front desk.

The food at the hotel was absolutely delicious! We enjoyed a fabulous 5-course dinner with so much choice, it was just fabulous. the fresh fish options were particularly impressive. the location of the hotel was also fantastic, surrounded by beautiful farm land, gardens, and woodlands. It truly added to the peaceful and romantic atmosphere of the place. the service provided by the staff was superb, with Rachel and Sasha standing out as particularly professional and friendly.

the lack of amenities in the room was a letdown.

The beautiful property of this country house offers a range of activities for families with children, including a farm with friendly pigs and chickens, perfect for a fun and educational experience. the rooms are clean and well-appointed, with lovely views. the breakfast is delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Guests can also enjoy wandering the grounds and relaxing by the cozy fire in the drawing room.

The bar service could be improved, with some customers reporting a lack of friendliness and attention to detail in drink preparation.

Fantastic setting, delicious food, exceptional service. the hotel is situated in a picturesque location in East Cork, providing a stunning backdrop for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. the staff were warm and welcoming, ensuring that every guest felt taken care of. the 5-course menu offered a wide range of options and the portions were generous. the highlight was the mouthwatering beef main course, cooked to perfection. the attentive and friendly waiter made the dining experience even more memorable.

The hotel's Wi-Fi was not secure and mobile data was inaccessible, which was quite inconvenient. the hotel did not respond to a message sent prior to arrival, resulting in our request not being accommodated.

The rooms were large and comfortable, with spacious bathrooms. The staff was friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service throughout my stay. The hotel had a lovely gift shop and cafe, adding to the overall convenience and charm of the place.

The room was a bit worn out and could use some refurbishment. I would have preferred duvets instead of blankets and sheets, as well as more pillows on the bed.
